things about you. Registration then means that we act on your behalf. The registration process allows us to see what we can do for you
and then allows you to instruct us to pursue your matter.

Do I need a visa to travel to the UK? |
| |
Certain nationalities, known as visa
nationals, need to obtain a visa before
travelling to the UK. Even if you are not a
visa national, you may need an entry
clearance, depending on the reason for
coming to the UK. Any person subject to
immigration control needs a visa in one form
or another |
 |
Where can I apply for a visa to enter the
UK?
|
| |
Applications for visit visas and EEA Family
Permits for the UK can be made at any
British
mission overseas with a full
service visa office. Other applications
should be made at a UK visa office in your
home country, or where you are normally and
legally resident.

What
developments is Adagio Consulting taking to optimise the internet for
their clients?
|
|
We
believe the net is an important medium for delivering services to our clients.
We hope you would find it beneficial and are in the process of optimising our
site for our clients to see their case files online. As a medium, it acts as a
way to deliver services no matter your location. Acting as the definitive site
in the services we offer, we hope to be able to start all transactions over the
internet.
|
 |
How will I be charged for your services?
|
|
Our
fees reflect the amount of time and expertise used to carry out your
instructions. There is a registration fee, depending on the method of delivery,
which is payable upfront.
From there onwards, you will be charged on a
service provision basis. It therefore means
that you pay for only the service(s) you
require. If you require any other services,
you will be billed accordingly. |
 |
Can I make payments in instalments? |
|
We
are happy to accept regular monthly instalments to be offset against our
bills. You can set this up by Standing
Order to our bank.
To help you budget, we will send you interim bills for our charges and expenses at
the end of every month, if you prefer while the work is in progress.
|
 |
What documents do I need to provide to make
my application?
|
| |

of required documents for each of its
clients. |
 |
Can my friend or family member in the UK
apply for entry clearance for me?
|
| |
Visas for the UK can be issued only at UK
entry clearance offices overseas. If you
need a visa, you must get it before you
travel to the UK. |
 |
Can somebody else apply for a visa for me?
|
| |
Yes, but you must sign the application form
personally to show that the information
given is true and accurate. Giving false or
misleading information, or failing to give
important relevant information on an entry
clearance form, or to an entry clearance
officer, can be reason for an application to
be refused. |
 |
Can I come to live permanently in the UK?
|
| |
If you are not a British, European Economic
Area (EEA), or Swiss national and you wish
to settle permanently in the UK, you must
qualify under the Immigration Rules and must
obtain an entry clearance before you travel
to the UK. For more information please speak
to one of our lawyers. |
 |
What if I don't understand English?
|
| |
At many visa offices, application forms are
also available in the main language(s) of
that country. There will always be staff
available at the office able to speak those
language(s) abroad. In the UK, the Home
Office employ the services of translators to
overcome language difficulties. |
 |
How can I extend my visa without wasting money? |
| |
We have a number of service options open to you when you instruct us. The fees for our services range from as little as 65.00GBP for a consultation. We also set up fees on a fixed service procedure and therefore you only pay for services that you require. Our Gio service is one of our cost effective tailored service that will get you through the process of making an application and settling your matter without waste. |
 |
What happens if my case is not successful? |
|
If you are refused a visa, you will be given
a written notice clearly explaining the
decision, which will also tell you if you
have any rights of appeal.
We
will continue to work with you to achieve your objectives. As mentioned above,
fruition of your aims is also our goal. In issues such as immigration, we are
able to appeal on your behalf and in some cases change the rules/laws. We will
then discuss what other options that are
open to you and work out a new route to
bring your matter to a successful conclusion
by you obtaining what you want. It means that
you dont waste money.
|
 |
If I am refused, can I appeal against the
decision?
|
| |
Certain categories of visa attract the right
of appeal. If you have the right of appeal
this will be stated in your written notice
of refusal. In-country applicants, family
visitors, settlement applications and
students who apply to spend over six months
in the UK - amongst others - have the right
of appeal. For more information on appeal
please contact one of our lawyers who will
be happy to guide you through. |
 |
What if I have been refused a visa for
another country before?
|
| |
Each visa application for the UK is dealt
with on its own merits, but an entry
clearance officer may wish to know why
another country refused you a visa. They
will also take into account any previous
refusals by the UK Immigration Services |
 |
I hear so many stories of how people were deceived and lost money |
|
It
is true that there are some unscrupulous service providers. They usually tend to
be too expensive or it turns out that no application was even made at all*. At
Adagio consulting, as well as being regularly updated, your case file will be
open to you to peruse.
We are also registered with the relevant authorities, such as the OISC
and Companies House, who scrutinise
us.
*These are many of the complaints from our clients about their previous service
providers |
 |
What if I am not happy with the service I have received from Adagio
Consulting?
|
|
In
the unlikely event that you have any complaints regarding the service,
competence and fitness about any of our staff, please convey this to your
advisor.
If you feel
that that advisor has not fairly dealt with your complaint, either you or your
advisor can take it a step further by making a complaint to the office manager.
Again if you feel unfairly treated, the company director or secretary would
then deal with your complaint.
And/or
alternatively, if you feel your matter has not been fully satisfied, the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner
(OISC), under which this company is registered, has its complaints scheme. They
regulate immigration advisors and service providers and will deal with
complaints regarding the fitness and competence of persons providing
immigration advice or immigration services and those persons who are employed
by them, or work under their supervision.
|
 |
Can I apply for a work visa/permit? |
|

permits can only be applied for by employers on behalf of their employee. Therefore
if you are an individual, generally, the answer is no.
